The Expert Workshop Created to Solve Your Design Dilemmas

November 04, 20244 min read

The Expert Workshop was created by Verity Woolf as an additional offering to the interior architecture and design services we already offer, to address client design dilemmas and queries. In this article Verity details further information as to what The Expert Workshop is, what type of workshop will be best for you, as well as which interior projects would be well-suited to undertaking this series with an expert interior designer of ours.

WHAT ARE YOUR DESIGN WORKSHOPS AND WHO ARE THEY FOR?

Westbourne Grove House, Notting Hill

Victorian Townhouse, Notting Hill London

Our Expert Workshops provide one-to-one design consultation for clients who want rapid progress and expert advice without committing to a full house interior design program. They're designed to be flexible, working within your budget while letting you maintain control of design decisions in collaboration with our studio. It might be that your design dilemma is about a particular room in your house, pre-construction and planning such as listed building and planning parameters or home decor and fabrics. Whatever your interior design and architecture predicament is we would be delighted to help and bring your vision to life.

WHAT DO YOUR EXPERT WORKSHOP SESSIONS COVER?

We provide comprehensive expert guidance across all phases of your design project from pre-construction planning through to the final touches of interior decoration. Whether you need advice on sustainable energy solutions, listed building regulations, lighting design, or custom cabinetry, we tailor our expertise to your specific requirements. Each project is unique, and we adapt our workshops to address your particular needs and goals.

WHAT TYPES OF WORKSHOPS DO YOU OFFER?

The Gasholders Apartment, Kings Cross

Contemporary Apartment, Kings Cross London

We offer three types of specialised workshops. Our Virtual Workshops connect you with our expert designers remotely via video call. These dynamic, flexible sessions allow us to view your space and provide targeted solutions aligned to both your style preferences and budget. Following our initial appraisal of your interior design project, we will provide you with a complimentary design proposal outlining an interior design plan, scope of services, detailed fee structure, timescale and broader anticipated project costs.

The Studio Workshops are one-to-one sessions with a dedicated designer in either our London or Bath studios. You'll benefit from our professional studio environment, comprehensive materials library, and access to our network of over 200 specialist suppliers. We'll help guide your design decisions and develop a concrete action plan.

Our Home Workshops offer a full-day, in-home consultation with one of WOOLF's expert interior designers. We'll explore your vision in your own space, creating a detailed interior design plan that you can implement. This immersive format enables quick progress while ensuring you feel confident and inspired about your home's direction and remains in line with your budget and aesthetic vision.

WHICH WORKSHOP IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Once you’ve registered your interest with us, which you can do via calling our studio or sending a detailed form here, we will schedule a complimentary 15-minute Magic Call to discuss your needs and ensure you've chosen the perfect workshop that suits your design needs. We'll also provide guidance on how to prepare, helping you make the most of our valuable time together.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY WORKSHOP?

Aberdeen Park House, London

Victorian Townhouse Villa, Islington London

We'll guide you through the preparation process during our 15-minute Magic Call. Before your workshop, you'll receive a detailed questionnaire about your project and design requirements, which our design team will review ahead of time. We will also send you a pre-consultation checklist to help you gather essential documents like floor plans for the session so that you are completely prepared along with a whole host of questions for us to answer.
