‘Oceanic house was a prestigious commercial project for woolf’
Verity Woolf, Founder
This prestigious Grade II listed developmental interior design project is located in Trafalgar Square, opposite the National Gallery, Cockspur Street that lies at the intersection of Pall Mall and Haymarket, connecting St James’s to the West End. The imposing former White Star Line headquarters was once the booking office of the glamorous ‘Titanic’ ocean liner.
In keeping with the finest buildings of St James’s, Oceanic House was constructed out of Portland stone, it is a fine example of Edwardian architecture. The building draws upon the ‘Classical Style’, recalling the spirit of abundant luxury from the era. The restored exterior and brand new service - on - demand apartment hotel designs echo the glamour that will be forever associated with the age of transatlantic ocean travel.
‘WOOLF has undertaken a few projects for me and has always done an incredible job. Each project involved a very different spec, the team were upbeat and professional and their delivery was seamless. They genuinely care about our projects and we always felt we were their most important client. We were impressed with the way in which they worked in harmony with our architects and stayed in command of the on-site management process.’
