5,381 SQ FT / 499 SQM
WOOLF were brought in to refine the interior design of this chic Victorian London villa following a fabulous renovation and extension by DMFK architects. The project sits across five stories, which included decorating a master suite, master to children’s bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, open living spaces, an attic office, and a movie snug and represents WOOLF mastery in combining period interiors with refined bespoke design.

Bespoke Design that Reimagines London Heritage
Inspired by the architectural grace of its Victorian design, WOOLF infused the Islington house with rich textures, layered colour palettes, and carefully selected pattern filled materials. The design reflects a retro revival aesthetic influenced by 1970s design while maintaining a level of refinement that speaks to contemporary luxury. The finest materials were used by leading artisans, and these finishes interplay elegantly throughout, creating interiors that feel both sumptuous and lived in. Every bespoke design element, from tailored joinery to custom-made furniture respects the rhythm and proportions of the townhouse villa. This fusion of character and craftsmanship ensures the house feels bespoke to its core.

The Art of the 1970s Revival
In the reception rooms, warm shades of amber, caramel, and rose echo the nostalgia of 1970s design yet remain distinctly modern. WOOLF reimagined the era’s glamour with restraint, introducing statement pieces, vintage finds and carefully balanced lighting. Layered materials and intelligent lighting design elevate the environment, giving the Victorian townhouse an atmosphere of intimacy and understated theatre.

Sophisticated Living for the Modern London Home
The kitchen and dining areas are tailored, timeless, and beautifully functional. Bespoke cabinetry, hand-finished stone, and intricate lighting blend artistry with utility. The layout enhances flow and comfort, creating a home that exudes refined elegance while accommodating daily life. Each material, colour, and surface in this Islington house is chosen not only for beauty but for meaning. This attention to detail transforms the Victorian townhouse villa into an enduring expression of retro revival and modern London luxury.

Where Heritage Meets Contemporary Elegance
