This commercial project in Hamilton Square, an impressive Georgian square in Liverpool, was to create an apartment hotel. Each space was designed with an individual focus, offering guests a sense of community and connection. WOOLF created apartments with their own identity, establishing a characterful interior design scheme with a contemporary feel owing to the modern amenities and digital experience.
Integrating Georgian Architecture with Modern Design
In the heart of Liverpool, the HOMETOO Hotel occupies a magnificent Georgian Grade I listed building that stands as a testament to the city’s period architecture. WOOLF was commissioned to develop the concept and full interior design for this impactful apartment hotel, an ambitious project that honours the property’s Georgian heritage with contemporary lifestyle design. The result is a hotel with statement apartments, through impactful and engaging design with a commitment to modern living.
Defining a New Genre of Hospitality
The brief for the HOMETOO Hotel called for redefinition. Conceived as an apartment hotel for a new generation of travellers, the commercial interior design project demanded a balance of creativity, characterful and a personalised sense of belonging. The WOOLF interior design team collaborated with the client to inform a strategic brand narrative, which honoured the period property of this Grade I listed building while defining a distinctive identity for this hotel.
A Grade I Listed Property Transformed into a Contemporary Apartment Hotel
The HOMETOO Hotel redefines the experience of an apartment hotel by connecting intimacy and communal energy through carefully choreographed spaces. The public areas and private apartments are shaped through an experiential lens, creating an intimate and personal atmosphere for guests. WOOLF focused on movement and atmosphere as much as materiality, ensuring that transitions between spaces feel instinctive and emotionally resonant.
